AFTERMATH on Netflix is a horror mystery that works surprisingly well. Secondly, the entire premise that Natalie and Kevin are suffering financially is curious. It's hard not to think this would be a better film if it had taken the other path, so to speak. The stranger visited the house after he saw an advert. For one, while there have been terrifying news stories similar to what happens, the way this film delivers its reveal ultimately feels hollow because so much time is spent on delivering supernatural thrills. The Aftermath ending, explained: At the end of Aftermath, it’s revealed that a stranger is guilty of all of the bizarre events in the house. Rachel, the expectant mother, is haunted by a ghost in a red dress, while Kevin, the soon to be father, has frightening nightmares even while hes awake. A young couple struggling to stay together, when they are offered an amazing deal on a home with a questionable past that would normally be beyond their means. Despite Aftermath (2021) being loosely based on a true story, the film nevertheless comes across as wildly unbelievable because of a few glaring issues. This horror movie comes close to being decent, but sadly is too long, too unsurprising, and too unrealistic. The Netflix series uses the theory put forward by famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren who believe it takes a total of 28 days to make the connection between the human and spirit.
